Happy Pride Month!
This weekend, Freedom for All Massachusetts will be recognized as the Grand Marshal of Boston Pride—and all month, we’re deploying our team to Pride festivals to grow our support in every region of the state.
Yes, we have a lot to celebrate at Pride. But this year, more than ever, we have our work cut out for us in Massachusetts. That’s because the threat is very real: Non-discrimination protections for transgender people could be wiped away at the ballot box this November.
And the only way we’ll safeguard our non-discrimination laws is if fair-minded people like you and me stand together to build a movement strong enough to make Massachusetts the first state in the country to uphold transgender protections at the ballot.
That’s why to kick off Pride Month, we’re doubling down on our commitment to uphold protections for our transgender friends at the ballot box by setting a goal: Raise $5,000 this week to fuel our work across the state!
And we’ll even sweeten the deal: If you donate before Thursday, you and a friend will be entered to march with us in the very front of the Boston Pride parade this weekend!
There will also be hundreds of volunteers spending the weekend with Freedom for All Massachusetts at Boston Pride—recruiting more volunteers to join our grassroots efforts across the state. Commit to a volunteer shift this weekend.
This year for Pride, let’s show our transgender neighbors, family and friends that we have their backs, by working especially hard to uphold non-discrimination protections!
