Yesterday, five mayors, all members of the Freedom For All Massachusetts mayoral coalition supporting comprehensive LGBTQ non-discrimination protections, were re-elected in their respective cities, further affirming that the people of Massachusetts value equality and fairness for the LGBTQ community.
Re-elected to new terms were the following:
Mayor Marty Walsh, Boston
Mayor Kim Driscoll, Salem
Mayor David Narkewicz, Northampton
Mayor Joseph Curtatone, Somerville
Mayor Joseph Petty, Worcester
These mayors represent a variety of municipalities, and having them back in office strengthens the work of Freedom For All Massachusetts to defend #TransLaw MA at the ballot next November.
We at Freedom For All Massachusetts congratulate each of these mayors, who have made it clear that all-inclusive LGBTQ protections should remain law throughout the state.
