This date is critical. Remember it: November 6, 2018.
That’s the day Massachusetts will become the first state in the nation to vote on an anti-transgender ballot initiative—and the day that will determine the fate of equality for transgender people like me in our Commonwealth.
Our campaign is already gearing up for the fight of our lives in 2018. And thankfully we aren’t alone: A generous donor (and mom of a transgender son) is matching any donations—up to $25,000—to Freedom for All MA to fuel our winning campaign in 2018.
In just a matter of months, the full weight of the national anti-transgender movement will be thrust into Massachusetts.
We know anti-LGBT extremists will run a multi-million dollar, lie-filled media campaign smearing transgender people—streaming in living rooms across Massachusetts for months on end.
This isn’t to scare you, it’s because it’s important to know what we’ll be up against: A shameful, concerted effort to rob transgender people of the dignity and protections we’ve secured in Massachusetts.
We must rise up and defend the state we know and love and the transgender people who call Massachusetts home.
